Abstract
In this present study, groundwater quality of Gurugram district has been analysed. Water samples were taken from 31 different locations of Gurugram in the year 2013 and 2017 and analysed for 13 different parameters. Cluster analysis was used to group the sampling sites into different cluster based on their water quality similarity. Further, technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) was performed on the observed datasets to rank the sampling sites according to pollution level. Results have been demonstrated using geospatial map. This study shows the applicability and effectiveness of combined use cluster analysis, TOPSIS and geoinformatics techniques in groundwater quality monitoring and assessment. These techniques will be very beneficial for policymakers and local public for easy understanding and better interpretation of water quality monitoring datasets.
