Abstract

In this study, Ag/AgO nanoparticles were prepared from Nigella sativa seeds by preparing Nigella sativa seed extract, treating it with silver nitrate and then using it as an inhibitor. We used field emission scanning electron microscopy for UV-visible and FTIR spectroscopy to study this extract. Through the results proven in the practical part, the preparation of Ag/AgO nanoparticles has been demonstrated. The effect of these nanoparticles on some types of bacteria was studied and the results showed that the biological evaluation of silver nanoparticles had a consequence mostly on suppression of two separate bacterial types, Gram positive and Gram negative, on account of the varied inhibitors for each type.
